The Grand Lake Nordic Center will be hosting another fantastic Full Moon Ski event on Saturday, January 19th from 5pm to 9pm. Don’t miss this incredible once-a-month opportunity to ski by the light of the moon followed by hot drinks near the bonfire, and dinner and drinks at the Sly Fox Restaurant. The FREE tubing hill will be lit for the event as well! No preregistration required. Get out and play at the Nordic Center which is open daily with 35 kilometers of trails to explore, and offering equipment and lessons for all ages. It is guaranteed to be a fun outing for the whole family!

The 31st Annual Three Lakes Ice Fishing Contest will be held January 25th through January 27th. This event consists of three 1-day contests — enter 1, 2 or all 3 days of the contest. The 2nd Annual Pond Hockey Classic (February 2-3, 2019) will kick-off February events with the 2nd Annual Ice Addiction Tournament & Grand Lake’s Annual Winter Carnival being held the weekend of February 8th, 2019. Winter Carnival is fun for the entire family with a variety of events such as Human Bowling, Bed Sled Races and Tea Pot Curling. Businesses will boast their best snow sculpture following this year’s theme of “Under the Big Top,” and the Town Park will be filled with kids designing their best snowmen and playing miniature snow-golf. The evening ends with Grand Lake’s famous fireworks over the lake.
