Experience the beauty, warmth and peacefulness of spring in Grand Lake before the busy summer season returns. As the snow melts and the ice leaves the lakes, the Rocky Mountains are invigorated and bursting with signs of new life. Trail Ridge Road is preparing to open on May 24th, weather permitting, allowing full access to Rocky Mountain National Park just in time for Memorial Day Weekend.

 

The Grand Lake Golf Course is gearing up for the summer season and plans to open mid-May. This highly rated golf course was designed by Dick Phelps, boasting incredible views of the Rocky Mountains. Stop at the Sly Fox Restaurant for food and refreshments while you’re enjoying the day with a round of golf, and be sure to stop by the pro shop for golf accessories and clothing.

The Kauffman House Museum kicks off their summer season on Saturday, May 25th. Open from 11am to 5pm, adult admission is only $5, and admission is FREE for youth under 12, active military families and GLAHS members. Built as a hotel in 1892, this rustic Victorian building boasts displays and stories that will bring you back in time.

Remember and honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country at Grand Lake’s Annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony being held on Monday, May 27th. Beginning at 10am, Veterans, horses, and floats representing local service groups and businesses will make their way down Grand Avenue. A heartfelt ceremony will be held in Town Park after the parade.

Join the Rotary Club of Grand Lake on Friday and Saturday evenings for Bingo in the Park, held at the Louie Heckert Pavilion in Town Park at 7:30pm every weekend from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend. There will be an additional chance to win Bingo during the Memorial Day Weekend on Sunday, May 26th. Each card costs $3.00 and plays 12 games!

Rocky Mountain Repertory Theater will kick-off another great summer of live theater on June 7th. The 2019 playbill includes fabulous performances of Sister Act, Disaster!, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and Always… Patsy Cline. Tickets are on sale now.
